Frequently asked questions

Where will my donation go?

Your gift goes directly to The Bradfield Foundation's Bursary Fund. The Foundation is Bradfield College's registered charity, established in 1990 to help widen access to education through means-tested transformational bursaries. It also supports the College's Capital Development Framework by raising funds for key projects such as the Science Centre, Greek Theatre, and most recently, the St Andrew's Study Centre.

Is my payment secure?

Yes. All payments through the Bradfield Giving Day website will be securely processed by Stripe UK and Stripe US.

Why is my payment not going through?

Please check that you have included your postcode in both the address field and the card details field of the gift form. If there is still a problem, you may need to contact your card provider and inform them that the payment is valid. For any queries, please contact us at development@bradfieldcollege.org.uk

Can I see my gift on this website?

Yes! If you’ve chosen not to make your gift anonymous, you can take a look at the donor wall to see your name.

What is Gift Aid?

Gift Aid is a UK government scheme that allows charities such as the Bradfield Foundation to claim an extra 25% on eligible donations at no cost to the donor. If you're a UK taxpayer, your donation can go even further—just by ticking the box on the donation form. It's a simple way to make your generosity go further.

I live overseas — how can I make a tax-efficient donation?

If you’re outside the UK tax regime, these organisations can help make your donation tax-efficient:

Transnational Giving Europe (TGE)
TGE allows donors in participating countries to support charities abroad while benefiting from local tax advantages. Current members include Belgium, Ireland, UK, France, the Netherlands, Germany, Switzerland, and Poland. Visit the TGE website for details.

British Schools and Universities Foundation (BSUF)
US residents can make tax-deductible gifts to the Bradfield Foundation through BSUF, an IRS-approved 501(c)(3) charity (Federal Tax ID 13-616-1189). To donate, visit the BSUF website and designate ‘The Bradfield Foundation,’ registered charity 900457. Note: All grants are made at BSUF’s sole discretion in compliance with IRS regulations.
